THE foundation year for Berwick Grammar School (BGS) commenced on 29 January with boys in Years 5, 6 and 7.
Brother school of St Margaret’s in Berwick, BGS will continue to grow each year with the first Year 12 class operating in 2014.
At BGS boys are encouraged to learn in a variety of contexts through a range of innovative programs.
An extensive arts program explores creative expression through music, dramatic and fine arts, while technology studies engage boys with hands-on takes such as woodwork and electronic circuitry.
Technology is a strong feature of the curriculum at every level. All students use their own notebook computers as a learning tool in all subject areas.
The school’s co-curricular program includes an extensive sporting component that provides both house sport and inter-school sporting opportunities.
On-campus facilities at Officer include a gymnasium and basketball/tennis courts as well as an oval.
Participation in such activities as the ‘Human Powered Vehicle’ program further enriches student experience.
Berwick Grammar remains connected to St Margaret’s through heritage, values and culture – we are two schools sharing one community. For more information please contact our registrar Mrs Susanne Tozer on 9703 8111.
