FERNTREE Gully’s top three entertainment hot spots have joined forces to raise cash for bushfire victims and the CFA at a charity event next month.
The Club, Ferntree Gully Hotel and The Royal have promised a day not to be missed.
It will feature non-stop entertainment from live music to kids’ activities at the Ferntree Gully Hotel, 1130 Burwood Highway, on Sunday 1 March.
Six Rockabilly bands will take centre stage from 1pm to 8.30pm at the hotel’s Flanagan’s Irish bar and a number of Melbourne’s top cover bands will rock the Middle Room from 5pm.
The all-star line-up will include the Guilty Party, Jimmy Darvidis, Scat, 21/20, the Heartstarters, the Atomic High Tones, Patrick Carr and Dave Jones.
Meanwhile in the car park, youngsters will also be kept entertained with face painting, a jumping castle, mini golf and kid’ music.
A hot rod show will also be on display as well as a local fire truck and police car.
An all-day barbecue will keep patrons’ hunger at bay.
Sports memorabilia and other items will be auctioned off to raise money for the cause.
All proceeds from the door, barbecue and auction will be donated to the CFA and bushfire appeal.
All the entertainers, Hot Rod and Harley owners have donated their time for the cause.
The Ferntree Gully Hotel also features a number of top acts next month including Behind Crimson Eyes, British India, Jackhammer, Ownkind and several local bands.
