The whole family can capture the spirit and excitement of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in the school holidays. The whole family can capture the spirit and excitement of the Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit in the school holidays.

PHILLIP Island Grand Prix Circuit is the right place for plenty of family fun these school holidays.
Action is certainly the order of the day with HSV Hot Laps, Go Karts, Slot Cars, Guided Circuit Tours and competitions with great prizes, all on offer.
Visitors can test their skills in one of the Swiss Hutless Go Karts on the 740-metre replica Grand Prix Circuit.
The experienced Go Kart team at the circuit provide a briefing to every customer before they go on the track and ensure these very nifty karts are really well maintained.
There are minimum age and minimum height restriction for kids on the karts; this is more to do with being able to reach the pedals than anything else.
The younger ones won’t miss out however, because there is also a fleet of tandem karts, which are offered to parents to drive with a small passenger seated alongside.
The fascinating Guided Circuit Tour is always popular.
Visit the Control Tower, which is the nerve centre of the circuit for events, and houses plenty of high tech equipment, before progressing to the start line, where Rossi, Doohan, Gardner, Brock and Skaife began some of their best and memorable races. The tour then heads to the Grand Prix Paddock and the Pit Lane Garages to soak up more of the atmosphere of this famous venue, arguably the best motorcycle racing circuit in the world.
Finally the guide shows off the media centre overlooking Pit Lane and onto the crowd favourite – the winners’ podium, a great opportunity for a personal photo holding the champagne bottle aloft.
The Visitor Centre is running a competition for the kids during the school holidays. On purchase of a child entry for the History of Motorsport or Guided Circuit Tour, the child has a chance to win a Nintendo Wii.
For the ultimate adrenalin rush, book an awesome HSV hot lap of the circuit.
Be strapped in by the Hot Lap drivers, who are experienced racers, for the ride of a lifetime. Powering at 220 km per hour down Gardner Straight into Doohan Corner is absolutely unbelievable.
There is also a massive indoor slot car track, which also replicates the circuit. Four model cars can be raced at once and electronic timing keeps track of the fastest laps.
The Phillip Island Grand Prix Circuit is open daily from 9am.
