HILLS residents are being urged to dig deep to raise cash for local firefighters at a special dinner next month.
The Thanks Fireys! fundraiser will be held on Saturday 9 May at Gembrook Hall.
All cash collected on the night will go towards the Cockatoo and Gembrook fire brigades.
Organiser Carolyn Sudgen said the night was all about saying thank you to all the volunteers who fought the Black Saturday fires.
But she said it was also to raise much needed cash for the two brigades.
The night offers a two-course buffet dinner with beer and wine for just $60 per person.
There will be plenty to keep locals entertained from door prizes to raffles and some light entertainment.
Ms Sudgen has also called for residents to dig deep for an auction on the night.
Tickets are now available by calling Kitchen Fundamentals in Cockatoo on 5968 9015 or the Cockatoo-Gembrook Community Bank 5968 8831.
Thanks to fireys
