AUSSIE rockers The Baby Animals will hit the Hallam Hotel stage this month for their Wish U Were Her tour.
Frontwoman Suze DeMarchi promised to unveil a swag of new material.
“It’s been a year since we did our last shows and a year that proved to be really creative,” she said.
DeMarchi and fellow Baby Animal Dave Leslie have “been ploughing ahead with work on new songs”.
“What we really love to do is write and perform,” she said.
The group achieved success with their debut single Early Warning in 1991, and followed up with second track Rush You later that year.
Their debut album Baby Animals spent six weeks at number one on the ARIA Charts, becoming the highest selling debut Australian rock album of all time.
The band released its sophomore record Shaved And Dangerous in 1993 and in 1999 DeMarchi released her first single, Satellite as a solo artist.
She followed up with debut album Telelove and a national tour.
Baby Animals has toured with the likes of Bryan Adams, the Black Crowes, Van Halen and Robert Plant both in Australia and overseas.
The band has a string of Australian Music Awards and ARIA Music Awards to their name and DeMarchi was an inaugural WAM (West Australian Music) Industry Hall of Fame inductee.
Baby Animals will headline the Hallam Hotel on Sunday 12 April.
