THE Shire of Yarra Ranges is hosting an expo next week to help residents rebuild their lives following the Black Saturday fires.
It will feature more than 85 exhibitors presenting the latest products and information on building, rebuilding and home renovations.
Mayor Len Cox said it would be an important regional event and would help people living in high fire risk parts of the shire.
He said a number of experts would be available including architects, builders, tradespeople and a range of other retailer products such as water tanks, solar power and gutter protection. “The event is open to all residents and is a great chance to find out about the latest and greatest products for those considering rebuilding their homes,” Cr Cox said.
The expo will be officially opened by the Victorian Bushfire Reconstruction and Recovery Authority chair, Christine Nixon and hosted by actor John Wood.
It will also offer something for the whole family to enjoy with farmyard animals, a jumping castle and face painting.
The expo will be held at the Lilydale Showgrounds, 27-29 Market Street, Lilydale, on Saturday 18 July from 10am to 4pm.
