GRAFFITI vandals will soon have to fight to make their mark.
This comes as the Yarra Ranges Council launched a new graffiti removal trailer.
Funded by the Department of Justice, the trailer features a generator, water storage unit, paint spray gun, and paint and graffiti removal chemicals.
Residents and traders across the shire can access the equipment, which also includes brushes, brooms, bins, goggles and gloves.
Councillors Terry Avery and Richard Higgins said the trailer would become a valuable tool in the fight against graffiti.
“Our community groups, township and trader groups work tirelessly to strengthen the communities in which they work and live,” Cr Avery said.
“The trailer will help these groups put some pride back into those townships and demonstrate their commitment to keeping our towns graffiti-free,” Cr Higgins said.
Those wanting to use the trailer need to take part in a short induction program.
