‘Willows’ to play at park

By Tania Martin
CELEBRATE Australia Day at Emerald Lake Park as Wind in the Willows comes to town.
Mr Toad, Mole and Ratty will all take centre stage as the Gemco Theatre Company brings the classic tale to life.
Shows will take centre stage over the next two weeks at the picturesque park.
The Wind in the Willows will be performed along the eco-trail in the northern part of the lake, which also hosts a range of wildlife from ducks to turtles.
Hills audiences will follow Mr Toad’s adventures around the eco-trail as the weasels guide them to various settings where the play will be performed.
There will also be plenty of audience participation with plenty to sing and dance about.
Gemco also offers some astonishing surprises along the way.
Wind in the Willows is ideal for summer holiday entertainment and Gemco will offer two performances a day from 23 January until 7 February at 2pm and 5pm.
Bookings can now be made by calling 0411 723 530; tickets cost $10 and children under three are free.
