Edge Martial Arts owner Kyoshi Andrew Roberts,
EDGE Martial Arts and the team of dedicated instructors have been operating in Mount Evelyn for the past 19 years.
They are committed to serving the community by producing the best martial arts instruction in children’s programs such as stranger danger, bully busting and self confidence.
Adult programs include mixed martial arts, adult karate, Muay Thai kickboxing, and weaponry.
Owner Andrew Roberts has 32 years of martial arts experience and all staff have diplomas and certificates in sports coaching and development.
Andrew started running the business from Mount Evelyn Primary School in 1989 with 30 students.
“Today we own the building and have more than 460 students,” he said.
Throughout the years the centre has hosted guest instructors from all over the world.
Edge Martial Arts is proud to have the renowned martial arts and movie star Shihan Richard Norton appearing at the centre on 25 March.
Shihan Richard has been in movies with Chuck Norris, Jackie Chan and others to name a few.
Shihan is one of the pioneers in the Australian Martial Arts Industry.
“Edge Martial Arts is very lucky to have a strong relationship with Shihan Richard,” Andrew said.
Later in the year the centre will host Master Julias Meligrito from the Philippine Martial Arts Alliance and Roland Osborne from the Discovery Channel martial arts.
