Resort keeps it hot

JON Stevens will bring a touch of rock n’ roll to the York on Lilydale Resort this week.
The renowned rocker will keep the crowd entertained with a number of old time favourites such as Hot Chilli Woman.
Mr Stevens is well known as the front man for both Noiseworks and INXs.
The New Zealand singer’s illustrious career began when he was just 13 years old after he won a talent contest.
Mr Stevens then went on to record his first number one single, Jezebel.
After winning New Zealand’s most-up and coming talent award and single of the year in 1980, he decided to move to America to further pursue his singing career.
In 1981, Mr Stevens recorded his second solo album before moving to Australia.
He then joined together promising guitarist Michael Browning and Noiseworks was established.
The band rose to the top of the charts in the late ’80s after releasing its debut record, No Lies.
Noiseworks’s self-titled album also reached number one on the charts and held that position for more than 63 weeks.
Mr Stevens is also renowned for his work in the stage production of Jesus Christ Superstar and a short association with INXS in 2000.
He was a guest vocalist for the iconic Australian band before splitting following creative differences.
Mr Stevens is now concentrating on his solo career again.
Noiseworks fans should not miss the chance to see Mr Stevens live in concert on Thursday 25 March at the York on Lilydale Resort on the corner of Swansea and York roads from 8pm.
