MELBOUNRE’S premier diner experience, Ferntree Gully’s Captain America’s Hamburger Heaven, has a burger to suit everyone’s tastes.
The diner has long since been known as a place for good old fashioned American style fare.
Captain America’s first open in 1988 as one of the first American style eateries in Melbourne and remains number one today.
Current owner and chef Paul Dickie took over the businesses more than eight years ago but little has changed.
Mr Dickie trained as a chef in the Army and then went on to work at numerous venues across Melbourne.
He’s now proud to offer some of the best American cuisine in town.
Mr Dickie said Captain America’s theme offers large food portions.
“We also like to keep it as fresh and up to date as possible with the menu,” he said.
From pork spare ribs to big streaks and Buffalo wings, patrons could be forgiven for thinking they had stepped into an American diner.
With more than 19 different types of burgers on offer, this American style eatery has something for everyone.
The burgers range from the traditional cheese burgers to a pizza burger or chicken burger.
Captain America’s is also a meat lovers’ heaven with a range of steaks on offer.
Mr Dickie said for more than 21 years the diner has been offering great family service with a friendly atmosphere.
Families can also cash in on some great savings with kids specials from Monday to Wednesday. It costs just $5 for a kid’s meal and a drink.
“Parents can bring their kids down and have a proper meal for just $5,” Mr Dickie said.
Delicious Key lime and apple pies will also round off a great meal.
Diners can experience some great service, plenty of delicious food at reasonable prices at Captain America’s Hamburger Heaven seven nights a week from 5.30pm to 10pm or for lunch from Thursday to Sunday from noon to 2.30pm.
This great American style diner can be found at 38 Forest Road, Ferntree Gully, or call 9758 0711 for more information.
