HEWETT’S Quality Butchers in Mount Evelyn has just celebrated its sweet 16th birthday and the Wray Crescent institution has more than 50 years’ experience in retail butchering behind it.
Brian Hewett started the business 16 years ago. Son Mark took over with the aim of maintaining the same standards his father instilled in the business – high quality at low prices.
Hewett’s sells tender yearling beef, fresh pork, a full range of La Ionica chicken, and only the best spring lamb.
A full range of Australian ham – both on and off the bone – is available in time for the festive season.
Pork roasts and turkeys can also be ordered, along with a range of Christmas puddings and cakes.
Hewett’s leaves nothing out in its endeavour to jam pack customers’ dinner tables with delicious food. “We also sell fresh fish,” Mr Hewett said.
“And we’re now selling fresh veggies as there is no fruit and vegetable shop in the main street.”
Hewett’s Quality Butchers is located at 27 Wray Crescent, Mount Evelyn, and can be contacted on 9736 2206.
Operating hours are from 7am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday and from 7am to 12.30pm on Saturday.
