STUDENTS can finally breathe a sigh of relief after completing their VCE exams and receiving their marks last week.
Teachers across the City of Casey have praised students for their achievements.
VET/VCAL Program Manager Rob Duncan from Narre Warren South P-12 College said the school did extremely well, receiving an average median study score of 31.
“It’s outstanding. That’s a very high mark to get,” Mr Duncan said.
“Four students received a score over 90 and about 20 students had a score over 80. We did very well.
“We also topped the state in VCAL and VET. We are very pleased and thank all the students for the efforts they put in. They were very well rewarded.”
Kambrya College Princpal Michael Muscat said he was also pleased with the schools results.
“We have done very well,” Mr Muscat said.
“It is the best results we have received in our 10 years of existence. We are delighted.”
Two Kambrya College students, Oscar Han and Brian Sebastion received a mark of 99.
Both students, from Berwick, said they prepared for the exams and studied hard, but were pleasantly surprised with the high marks.
Oscar said he hoped to study commerce or law at Monash University next year and Brian was thinking about studying commerce or science, but for now they were both looking forward to having a relaxing summer.
“We are very proud of these two boys,” Mr Muscat said.
“We are proud of all the Year 12 VCE students this year. They have gone beyond our expectations.”
