Gateway to the future

A NEW multipurpose facility was opened at Fountain Gate Primary School recently.
The new $3,115,620 multipurpose facility, which is being used as a Visual Arts centre and full-sized gymnasium by the schools, was built as part of the Australian Government’s Building the Education Revolution (BER).
School principal Jennifer Duggan said the new facilities gave the school much greater scope to provide outstanding extra-curricular programs and excellent facilities.
“The school would like to thank the Federal member for Holt, Anthony Byrne, for his support during construction, and the Fountain Gate Primary School staff and students for their input,” Ms Duggan said.
Holt MP Anthony Byrne opened the facilities and congratulated all involved in the project, including Ms Duggan for her hard work in ensuring the project’s success and helping to modernise and refurbish the school.
“It has been fantastic to see the principal, parents and tradespeople working together to deliver these important projects,” Mr Byrne said.
“Now that this project is complete, teachers and students at Fountain Gate Primary School will be teaching and learning in the 21st century facilities that they deserve.”
Mr Byrne said the multipurpose facility was also being used by the broader community on a daily basis by local groups.
