Man on stalking, exposure charges

POLICE arrested and charged a man with stalking and indecent exposure after he allegedly exposed himself to several women in Narre Warren this month.
Police said on 11 December, a young man of Indian appearance was driving around shops in Webb Street in a grey Lexus sedan.
He approached several women and complimented them and asked them for sex.
Police said the man approached an elderly female who was entering the IGA and told her she looked sexy.
Police said on 16 December, the same man parked his grey Lexus sedan at the Webb Street shops where he performed similar acts and also followed a woman from the train station to the Fountain Gate shopping centre.
Police said the man then parked about 20 metres from a childcare centre, sat in his vehicle in his underwear and fondled himself before he got out of his vehicle and lay under a tree, exposing himself to women walking by.
Police arrested and charged the man shortly after the incident and then arrested him again on 18 December for attempting to sell drugs and for harassing women entering and leaving a store in Hallam.
Police are urging anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or Constable Tom Brown on 9705 3111.
