No margin too big

A GREAT come from behind victory by the Narre Warren Bowls Club Division Seven side against Cheltenham was the highlight of Saturday’s round 12 action.
The side was 20 shots down at the tea break and the margin seemed too big for the guys to peg back but a late afternoon rally from G.Moxey’s rink was the catalyst for the win. The team eventually triumphed by nine shots to keep hold of fourth position on the ladder.
J.Norman, K.Shell, P.Rouse and G.Moxey (s) won 32/8. A.Fitt, J.Scanlon, H.McCombe and J.Green (s) won 20/18. C.Bell, A.Tobler, R.Pompeans S.Birkett (s) lost 15/27. A.McGann. G.Dodd, B.Potter and D.Rosario (s) lost 20/25.

@BT Sub Sport News:DIVISION THREE

A last end win by G.Manifold’s rink was enough to give Narre Warren a hard fought victory over Cranbourne on Saturday. Played in hot and humid conditions the team won by two shots, with two rinks winning and two going down. The 14 points for the win keeps us in third spot on the ladder going into the break.
L.Klarica, A.Kidd, K.Mark and I.Brotherton (s) lost 16/23. G.Cadman, R.Hoare, M.Fitt and J.Parker (s) lost 19/21. S.Robinson, S.Belcher, P.O’Day and G.Manifold (s) won 24/17. W.Haringsma, E.Veraga, R.Lane and B.Brewster (s) won 20/16.

@BT Sub Sport News:DIVISION FIVE

On a very fast green Narre Warren were not quite up to the challenge from from Hampton Park with only one rink successful on a disappointing day. The Christmas break will give them a chance to recharge their batteries ready for the run home. The team is still on top of the Section Seven ladder by one point and hopes to return to its winning form in the New Year.
J.Dukats, J.Uren, M.Graham and P.Castricum (s) lost 19/21. J.Van Hout, G.Miller, R.Pigdon and F.Fox (s) lost 17/19. C.Lapham, J.Hickman, N.Bell and S.Lapham (s) lost 12/23. M.Rudelic, J.Zanon, J.Sheahan and M.Horton (s) won 22/17.

@BT Sub Sport News:TUESDAY

Being the last round before the Christmas break Narre Warren were looking forward to having its first win of the season but it was not to be. Two rinks lost by five shots each and the third rink won by four resulting in the final score of 50/56. Close, but they are finding it difficult to gain that elusive win. Maybe the New Year will bring a change of luck to Narre Warren.
R.Rasmussen, E.VanMaanen, W.Harringsma and I.Brotherton (s) lost 13/18. S.Lapham, H.Belcher, M.Horton and J.Naughton (s) lost 13/18. T.Henneman, P.Uren, N.Pugh and E.Gibb (s ) won 24/20.
