THE Mount Evelyn Football Netball Club is looking for donations for its biggest fund-raiser this year.
The committee is looking for about 100 items for the annual auction, which will be held on 28 July.
Money raised will go towards lighting to allow the club to play night games.
The club already has a bunch of goods to auction off, including an iPad 2, an automatic espresso machine, an iPod dock karaoke system, hair and beauty vouchers, a spit roaster, two small girls’ bikes and hot air balloon rides over the Yarra Valley.
Auction administrator Geoff Wighton said the drawcard will be a signed Chopper Read framed picture.
They will also have a Collingwood signed Sherrin, a 2010 Collingwood premiership poster and a Vixens netball.
After raising about $8000 last year, Mr Wighton said the club has set a target of $15,000 for this year’s auction and welcomed the help of anyone who was keen to lend a hand.
“If anyone wants to donate something, we’d be rapt and we’d also try to repay them with some advertising through the whole club,” he said.
“It’s all going towards a good cause.”
The auction will be held at the York on Lilydale in Mount Evelyn.
Viewing is open from 6pm and the auction will begin at 7.30pm sharp.
Those who do not donate will be asked to pay $10 for entry.
Anyone wishing to donate goods can contact Geoff Wighton on 0417 577 795.
