New name inspires

RANGES Community Health has a new name – Inspiro.
Max Walker was on hand to unveil the change at the organisation’s Lilydale site last Thursday 13 September.
Inspiro CEO Karyn McPeake said when Ranges Community Health started in 1995 its purpose was to support and promote healthy individuals and communities.
“This belief remains strong today,” she said.
“In fact, it’s why we have evolved our name to better reflect our commitment to quality healthcare.
“Inspiring healthier lives is at the heart of what we do, hence our new name – Inspiro.”
Ms McPeake said the community, in a survey last year, asked the Belgrave and Lilydale-based organisation to offer more services and minimise confusion about its name and what it does.
Inspiro provides access to a variety of health services such as dental, physiotherapy, speech therapy and podiatry.
Staff work closely with other key agencies, community groups and organisations, and volunteers.
Public-funded services are available to pensioners, healthcare card holders, students aged up to 18, people of Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander descent, refugees or asylum seekers, and pregnant women.
They receive priority access and lower fees.
Patients outside these categories can access Inspiro health services if they are a full-fee paying client, a voucher recipient, are referred from a GP, or have private health insurance.
