STUDENTS from Kallista Primary School had a new outlook on education last week as they learnt about all things in the Dandenong Ranges new Forest Classroom.
The Forest Classroom is a new education facility in the Dandenong Ranges National Park at the beginning the Thousand Steps at Ferntree Gully.
The classroom will be up and running for next year’s term one.
Kallista Primary School students spent a week at the classroom and took part in a range of educational activities.
The activities allowed the kids to learn more about the park, the plants and animals that live there, as well as how the park is managed.
Each student will also have access to their own iPad to take photos, record and use during activities.
