Hands full at the street party

CHEEKY clowns, juggling unicyclists and cute little ponies will bring Mount Evelyn to life with a vibrant circus themed street party.
The bi-annual street party is an opportunity to showcase the town and what it has to offer, a day for people to mingle with neighbours and friends.
With more than 4000 people attending the 2011 street party, this year is set to be bigger and better.
There will be plenty of things to see and do, including face painting, buskers, market stalls, a great variety of food and family focused activities.
Birmingham Primary School’s dynamic juggling team will be performing choreography and juggling routines on the day.
Stage entertainment will include everything from demonstrations to local school and preschool performances and solo and group artists.
Organiser Nicky Condello thanked everyone who helped to organise the event.
“The major sponsor once again is the Mount Evelyn Community Bank Branch, and the Street Party committee, sponsors, volunteers, the METIC and Yarra Ranges Council all play a role in assisting to ensure the day once again will be a huge success, for those in attendance,” she said.
The Street Party will be held on Saturday 26 October from 10am to 3pm.
Market stallholder applications are now available on 9736 1177.
