THE Yarra Ranges Pop-Up Museum hit the streets of Montrose last Monday to give locals some insight into local history.
The pop-up is a temporary extension of the permanent Yarra Ranges Regional Museum in Lilydale, comprising collections displays and museum staff in a community venue.
Small business and retail in local main streets is the theme of the museum, which is also a place to share local community knowledge.
The museum will then develop an exhibition focused on the theme, which will be on display between November this year and March 2014.
