BELGRAVE resident Sue Dilley went through many twists and turns to get her reward – but it was all worth it in the end.
Ms Dilley was awarded a cash prize after plaiting the longest ivy plait as part of the Yarra Ranges council’s weed blitz month.
As part of its efforts to free the Dandenong Ranges from the grip of environmental weeds, the council held a month of weed awareness activities including an ivy plait competition.
Individuals, community groups and schools took part in making longest ivy plait to “Save our Species” and “Tie up Ivy in the Dandenongs”.
