Pool supporters plan next meet

By MELISSA MEEHAN

THE FIGHT to save the Olinda Pool continues as supporters of the pool plan to attend the council meeting tonight (Tuesday).
Following a community meeting last week, John Faull said support to save the pool was strong and not falling by the wayside.
“It was a constructive meeting, but people do have the frustrating feeling that we are going nowhere,” Mr Faull said.
“We’re still waiting for the councils report.”
Councillor Jason Callanan also attended the community meeting last week, and Mr Faull said he was thankful for his support.
“Jason was very helpful, he seemed to understand the need for this pool and said the council should be heading in the direction to save the pool,” Mr Faull said.
He said the next plan of attack was to attend the council meeting and show the councillors how important the pool was to the community.
Another community meeting will be held at the Olinda CFA on Thursday 30 January, at 7pm.
