Monbulk Marlins show their mettle

PERHAPS Monbulk’s next generation of Commonwealth Games swimmers took to water on Sunday at an interclub swimming meet.
Driving down the hill to Narre Warren, four swimmers from Monbulk Aquatic Club took to Casey ARC to battle the rest of the state in the Casey TigerSharks Encouragement Games Meet.
John McLachlan battled it out in the boys 12 and over 200-metre individual medley, 50m backstroke, and 50m breaststroke, Hayden Wickenton was in the under 8s 50m backstroke, breaststroke and butterfly while under 11s pair Liam Watt and Taran Seamer battled bravely in the boys 50m backstroke and 50m breaststroke. Monbulk is hosting their House Night #2 Swim-a-Thon this week at the Monbulk Aquatic Centre on Monday 4 August.
