CLASSIC cars and bikes will brighten Monbulk’s main street for the second straight year on Sunday as part of an event to showcase what the community has to offer.
Buses, cyclists, skateboarders and roller bladers are making way for six hours to enable enthusiasts to admire and discuss the vintage machinery which will be angle-parked along the road.
Organiser John Coleman said it would be a great sight for visitors.
“There will be the best of the breeds, strutting their stuff and showing themselves in their finery,” Mr Coleman said.
“To make the day extra special, any money raised by way of entry fees and donations will be directed to local charities, clubs and volunteer associations, such as the CFA.”
There will be swap meets, accessory sales and many other professionals who make the restoration and maintenance of these vehicles possible will also be exhibiting.
A jumping castle and face painting will be among the children’s activities on the day.
The 14 September event starts at 10am and runs until 4pm.
