CELEBRATING good food and gardening, Tecoma’s first FLAME Festival will be held this weekend from 2pm at the Tecoma Uniting Church.
A children’s parade will kick off proceedings and all are invited to come dressed in a food or garden theme or make use of the props that will be available.
Tecoma Primary School choir and Vokallista will sing to you, buskers will soothe you and pop up cafe will fill your body with healthy delights. There will be food demos, good food to buy, plants for sale, kids eat healthy demos, cook book swap, face painting, head garland making, fence decoration, scarecrow making, circus activities, garden talks and so much more.
The day will also have a continuous raffle.
Prizes include garden workshops at Diggers at Cloudehill Nursery and Garden, food from the Kuranga Native Nursery and PaperbarkCafe, coffee and food vouchers from hills cafes, yoga classes with Heartmovents Dru Yoga, a permaculture consultation with Moonrise Permaculture School, a cooking class with Holly, handmade soaps by Sun Wellbeing, Savvy Shovel from Upwey Hardware, handmade cards from Soilmates forever and a car wash from Ocean Car Wash Tecoma to name just a few.
Anyone who volunteers for an hour or more goes into the complimentary volunteer draw.
