Awoke to intruder
POLICE are investigating an aggravated burglary in Chirnside Park this month.
A woman woke to find someone with a torch in her Anthony Drive home. The offender left with coins, and the victim was unharmed.

Historic charges
A 44-YEAR-OLD Gembrook man has been charged in relation to a burglary in Olinda in 2010.
He has been charged and bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

String of burglaries
A 35-YEAR-OLD Carrum Downs man has been arrested in relation to a number of burglaries in Tecoma and Upwey in June and July this year.
He has been charged with a number of burglary and theft of motor vehicle offences.
Police allege that the man would steal a car in the Carrum Downs area and drive to the Dandenongs.
He has been charged and bailed to appear at Ringwood Magistrates’ Court at a later date.

Back to the scene
UNKNOWN offenders returned to the scene of the crime last week after they were disturbed breaking into a shed at Lilydale Heights Secondary College.
It is believed the offenders cut the padlocks on 13 October but left empty-handed, before returning the next night and taking a number of powertools.

Expensive theft
MORE than $50,000 worth of equipment has been stolen from a business along the Maroondah Highway.
It is believed unknown offenders entered a storage container at the back of the property and took control panels and an impact wrench overnight on 13 October.

Trespassers
TWO youths were arrested for entering portables at Montrose Primary School last week.
Police found the boys at 6pm.

ATM stolen
POLICE believe a car was used to remove an ATM from the Mount Dandenong Hotel in Olinda last week.
Det Sgt Mark Smithwick said police believe thieves broke through the front door and removed the ATM machine which included an amount of cash.
“The vehicle marks outside indicate a car may have been used to remove the ATM machine from the establishment,” Det Sgt Smithwick said.

Domestic charges
MONBULK police have charged a 31-year-old man in relation to domestic assaults last week.
The man, formerly of Monbulk, has been charged with recklessly causing injury and criminal damage.
He is expected to face the Ringwood Magistrates’ Court in February.
