Olinda Junior Cricket Club
UNDER 14
BOWLING first in perfect conditions in Saturdays first-dayer, the radar was again a little off from the bowlers. A lot of work has gone into this area in recent weeks at training, but the team again gave away a lot of extras. Wickets were spread evenly and again the fielding was of a very good standard.
In reply, Olinda got themselves into a solid position after the loss of some early wickets. Ted Box (20) and Pat Seymour (13) combined for a timely 46 run stand. With 10 overs to go, the team needed to score at just under five runs per over, and ended up falling five runs short. A great game of cricket provided by both teams.
Olinda 9/91 vs Heathmont 5/96.
UNDER 10
IT WAS a very busy night as St Andrew’s Cricket Club hosted the RDCA under-10 round-robin tournament. With three games on offer, as well as a free snag and drink, it made for a terrific night which all the kids enjoyed. Our thanks to all the organisers for all their efforts.
