SANTA will travel in a different type of sleigh as he joins the Upper Ferntree Gully CFA on their annual Santa Run.
Mr Claus himself will help the volunteers dressed in yellow deliver sweet treats to those in Upper Ferntree Gully and Carrington Estate in Lysterfield on Sunday 21 December from 9.30am.
Brigade captain Peter Smith said Santa and his fire truck would visit every street in Upper Gully.
“I’ve been in the brigade for 42 years, and every year that I’ve been here we’ve done the Santa Run,” Mr Smith said.
“The only difference is that we used to do it on Christmas Eve but it was hard to get everyone here because they want to spend time with their families, and it’s a busy time for Santa.”
