House raided, jewellery stolen

BELGRAVE police attended the scene of a burglary on Grantulla Road, Kallista, on Tuesday 10 February. Residents of the property returned home to find their house ransacked with multiple items stolen, including jewellery. The incident happened between 6am-7pm and police have not yet laid charges. Anyone with information is asked to contact Belgrave police on 9754 6677.
Burglary suspect picked up twice
POLICE arrested a man over the weekend in relation to a local burglary. On stopping his vehicle in Lysterfield, police discovered that he was a disqualified driver driving an unregistered car. A search revealed that he was carrying illegal fireworks. After being released from Belgrave police station, the same man was again picked up regarding a burglary later that day. He is allegedly a suspect in multiple local burglaries and is now being investigated.
