THE grand plan by Shannon Bennett with his ‘I am’ attitude to utilise the entry via the original Burnham Beeches gates to inflate his ego takes away the rights of the people to enjoy the Alfred Nicholas Garden, as envisaged in the original handover by the Nicholas family.
Two previous managers of Burnham Beeches, when it operated as a hotel, used his existing drive without any problems.
If he still sees this as something to be corrected, then he should cut another entry on his own property closer to the gardens.
What more will be taken by stealth from the public?
He did not purchase the rights to the existing gardens, but could get them by stealth by using this entry on a regular basis.
Perhaps Parks Victoria representatives, Messrs Craig Bray and Matthew Hoogland, wish to work as gate keepers and make sure the gates are closed at dusk or later if they wait for patrons to leave from the hotel.
I think not.
