THE Mount Evelyn Street Party Rock’n’Rolled the clock back to the fabulous 50s on Saturday 24 October.
Mount Evelyn was treated to a Pin-Up fashion contest judged by Australian Pin-Up champions, a bicycle decorating contest, street performers, a duet with Elvis and Mayor Maria McCarthy and much more.
There was a demonstration by Edge Martial Arts, face painting, local food stalls, classic cars and emergency services information stalls.
“It’s such a great day and everyone has put in a lot of effort to get into the spirit of the day,” Mayor Maria McCarthy said.
Stage co-ordinator Tim Herlihy said the event went off without a problem.
“Everything has gone very smoothly,” he said.
“We are really proud of how the day came together and so glad we had such excellent weather, too.”
