ONE of the brothers accused of abducting and raping a teenage girl in Geelong last year, Rowan Wild, 27, has had all charges against him dropped.
The Department of Public Prosecutions decision comes as four brothers faced the Melbourne Magistrates’ Court on Friday, 19 February.
Allan Wild appeared via video link, while Rowan Wild had all 10 charges against him withdrawn.
Rowan Wild was one of a group of four brothers accused of raping the girl, 14, on 1 November last year.
Rowan Wild was charged along with 28-year-old brothers Kevin and Allan Wild, from Olinda and Mount Evelyn respectively, and 20-year-old brother, Brodie Wild.
Brodie Wild also had one charge against him withdrawn and has been remanded on bail to appear again in court later in the year.
The remaining two brothers are still facing numerous charges in relation to alleged offence, though those charges are also expected to change.
Police allege the young woman was raped in two locations after being abducted from a park in Geelong in the early hours of the morning.
The matter will continue this afternoon before Magistrate Gerard Lethbridge.
