Big reward on burglary

By VICTORIA STONE-MEADOWS

A REWARD of $350,000 has been announced for any information regarding an aggravated burglary at the Mount Dandenong hotel in 2014.

Two staff members were closing the hotel when two unknown men wearing balaclavas gained entry to the pub about 2am on 22 March.

The male and female staff members were assaulted by the unknown men with the male staff member dragged across the floor of the hotel.

The offenders did not speak to or make demands of the staff members during the attack.

The unknown men stole cash, jewellery and a wallet before leaving through the back entry of the hotel.

The female staff member suffered a fractured skull and lacerations to her face.

The male staff member was left with a fractured eye socket and severe lacerations to his head.

The reward for information leading to the capture of these unknown assailants will be paid at the discretion of the Chief Commissioner of Police.

Any payment of a reward will be subject to the applicant signing a deed of confidentiality prior to payment.

Police are appealing for public help and urge anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or submit a confidential report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
