SUNDAY saw six of the Monbulk Junior Football Club teams competing in practice matches against Upwey-Tecoma Tigers.
The official season for these teams begins next Sunday.
The Under 16s commence their campaign this week and travel to Emerald to do battle with Mount Evelyn (Round 1A).
Results: Mount Evelyn 10.8(68) d Monbulk 5.6(36)
The group worked hard.
Their intensity around contest was good, but the delivery going forward needs to improve to give them opportunity to score.
For the first full game for this group, they did well.
Awards: A. Banks, K. Linde, D. Rak, B. te Boekhorst, M. Dekker.
All teams are at home next week and they are keen to get the season started well.
Practice makes perfect
