PERFOMRING Arts festival ‘hillsceneLIVE’ is reaching out to the community to get the festival back for 2016.
The festival made its debut in 2014 and put exciting and challenging artists at centre stage of the Dandenong Ranges.
Festival organisers are now seeking help from the community through an online crowd-funding campaign to support the artists involved.
The funds from the campaign will go towards putting together a full weekend of artistry including professional development sessions, mentoring for young artists, and practical workshops.
This year the festival is supported by Creative Partnerships Australia (CPA) through their MATCH program.
CPA will match dollar for dollar for every dollar donated through the online crowd funding campaign, and hillsceneLIVE is offering prizes to people who donate.
This year’s festival will be held between Friday 28 October and Sunday 30 October, and donations will be accepted until the end of May via: www.pozible.com/projects/205515.
