MONBULK JUNIOR FOOTBALL CLUB
MONBULK had all teams at home for Round 7 – the first time in quite a while.
The day started early as players fronted up for the annual team photos.
UNDER 9B
The players came up against Yarra Glen and had another tight battle. They continue to improve in the areas they have been working on at training: tackling, pressure and teamwork. It was fantastic to watch the group improve each week and different players step up throughout the game.

UNDER 9A
The team enjoyed another great day – the skills they have been practising at training are starting to come into play.

A strong opposition was encountered, yet the team played with the same attitude and enthusiasm it has done throughout the year.

A polished performance against Upwey-Tecoma, the way they ran the ball and worked as a team was fantastic.

The team is starting to put into practice specific skills being taught at training and gave a great effort against some quality opposition.

UNDER 12A
The team came out to play and controlled four quarters of football. The players were encouraged not to be so hard on themselves and have fun.

UNDER 14A
The boys started well as a group given this week five players played for Upwey-Tecoma. Six Under 14Bs came up to play; they settled in well to the team structures and played their roles well. The young Hawks players are developing nicely and playing for each other, which is great to see.

The team was very intense around contests and were disciplined when sticking to their structures. Their skills were the best this season in damp conditions.
