Man sought over stalking incident

By PETER DOUGLAS

DETECTIVES from Knox Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team (SOCIT) are seeking further information about a stalking incident in Upwey earlier this month.
Investigators have released an image of a man they wish to speak with, or are seeking someone who may be able to identify him.
The man was wearing a red hoodie, grey T-shirt and blue plants.
Investigators have been told a woman was walking her dog from McNicol Road to Burwood Highway, Tecoma, when she was approached by a man.
He attempted to start a conversation with her, but she ignored him.
The man then proceeded to follow her for a further 1.5km, during which she observed him hiding and then re-appearing ahead of her.
The woman finally arrived at her Upwey home, which she entered through the rear entrance via her neighbour’s backyard.
It is not know why the man was following the woman and she was not physically harmed.
Anyone with information can contact Knox SOCIT on 9881 7939, call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000, or submit a confidential crime report at www.crimestoppersvic.com.au
