VOLUNTEER landcare group Bushcare is holding Major Day Out events throughout next month in the Dandenong Ranges to restore remnant bushland.
The Major Day Out events will be held in Belgrave, Ferntree Gully, Upwey and Belgrave South.
As part of Landcare Week, the Major Day Out events are focused on planting, weeding and educating participants on the environment.
The Major Day Out in Belgrave will be held at the Belgrave Lake Park on Saturday, 10 September, from 12-4pm.
With an opportunity to learn more about plants and animals, a Major Day Out will be held at Kalunga Nature Reserve in Ferntree Gully on Saturday, 10 September, from 10am-2pm.
Baluk William Nature Reserve in Belgrave South will educate participants on weed freesias on Sunday, 11 September, from 9am-noon.
Help Upwey’s amphibian friends by improving the frog pond at GlenFern Valley Bushlands on Saturday, 17 September, from 9.30am-12.30pm.
