Shine bright like a Diamond

By Victoria Stone-Meadows

A NEIL Diamond Tribute act, starring Dominic Finley formerly of Cutting Crew, will be bringing an exclusive Neil Diamond experience to Burrinja Cultural Centre.
‘Hot August Night and me; A Neil Diamond Story’ will see Finley and his bandmates performing the legendary album ‘Hot August Night’ in full.
The show will also feature stories about how the songs were created, and of Diamond’s dark journey from being a struggling Brooklyn poet, to becoming one of the world’s most loved performers.
Though Finley’s background is worlds away from the origin of Mr Diamond himself, the show is a powerful tribute to a man who influences music for generations.
Finley is backed by the ‘Diamantes’, a fantastic band whose musical characters bring that very special Hot August Night back to life.
The audience will be delighted with renditions of Sweet Caroline, I am … I said, Song Sung Blue, Crunchy Granola Suite and many more.
‘Hot August Night and me; A Neil Diamond Story’ will grace the stage at Burrinja Cultural Centre in Upwey for one night only on Saturday 224 September.
For your chance to see this one of a kind tribute show, contact the box office at Burrinja on 9754 8723 or visit www.burrinja.org.au.
