WITH the potential redevelopment of the former Lilydale Quarry site predicted to increase population within the region, Yarra Ranges councillor Terry Avery is aiming to address the issue of parking congestion. Central to his plan is a bid to construct another car park level at the Mooroolbark train station. Cr Avery said parking issues at both the Lilydale and Mooroolbark stations were adversely affecting local residents and retailers. To support his claims, Cr Avery (pictured), with Cr Len Cox, presented a petition with over 500 signatures at the Belgrave office of Monbulk MP James Merlino. 158968 Picture: ROB CAREW
