Fresh date with Thomas

By Peter Douglas

THE Kids Fun Run with Thomas the Tank Engine event will now be held on Sunday, 27 November.
After being postponed due to flooding around the Gembrook station, organisers are encouraging youngsters and parents to get out and support the event.
Those who had already registered for the original Sunday, 9 October, race have been automatically transferred to the new date.
The fun run will include the run for kids, showbags for runners, train rides on Thomas, market stalls, a petting zoo, jumping castles, a Thomas hunt, food and more.
As well as being a great day, the event is also an annual fund-raiser organised by the Rotary Club of Emerald and District.
This year, registration fees go towards helping to support the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre (CPEC), which is the only centre of its kind in Australia that specialises in supporting children with cerebral palsy.
To help support the Cerebral Palsy Education Centre, register online at www.kidsfunrunwiththomas.org.au.
