Make the most of week

CHILDREN can enjoy free family activities during Children’s Week from Saturday 22 October to Sunday 30 October.
Children’s Week aims to focus the attention of the wider community on children, their needs and achievements.
Yarra Ranges Council is celebrating by offering free family activities, some including a teddy bears’ picnic, a pop up playground, face painting and a performing arts workshop.
The festivities are to acknowledge and celebrate Yarra Ranges children’s skills, abilities and talents.
Yarra Ranges Council CEO Glenn Patterson said Children’s Week recognised the right for children to enjoy childhood in a safe, fun environment.
“Children’s Week highlights the terrific work our early childhood services, education groups and community groups do in supporting children’s well-being, success and play,” Mr Patterson said.
