Art goes on display

THE Upwey Township Group, Burrinja, Upwey Art Committee, Yarra Ranges Shire and the judges have congratulated all those who participated in the inaugural ‘Upwey Archies’.
Thirty-nine fabulous artworks were received and all are displayed in the Upwey Main Street in the following locations: Tin Pan Alley, Abitza, YRC Link, Old Hardware Store window, Hosford Health Clinic, Paint Magic, Mak Hair, Silhouette Grooming and Pet Supplies, and Cafe Grounded.
The winner of the open category is Annette Woodward for ‘Strength’.
The highly commended open category awards went to Kristy Linn and to Emma Johnson.
The winner of the Youth Category is Ava Lind for ‘Grandpa Green’.
The highly commended youth category award went to Sabrina Murphy, while the Encouragement Awards went to Eric Murphy and Charlotte Perry.
