An Emerald man has been arrested on the Monash Freeway following a series of incidents on Wednesday afternoon.
Police were called to reports of man brandishing a knife while driving along the Burnley Tunnel, Southbank, about 4.45pm on 18 January.
The driver was spotted by police and followed for a short time before he was pulled over near the Warrigal Road exit on the Monash Freeway.
The 43-year-old, who was the single occupant of the vehicle, was then arrested.
Police said they found a screwdriver in his car which they believed was mistaken for a knife in the initial reports.
The man also returned a positive preliminary breath test.
