Great start to season for Hawks

MONBULK CRICKET
After three rounds, the Monbulk firsts, thirds, fourths and Under 16s all remain undefeated.
The firsts enjoyed a big win over new local rival Olinda, with skipper Shane Cosstick making 55 and taking an amazing eight catches for the match.
Jason Fraser took eight wickets for the match and young Tommy Taylor made a terrific 45 not out.
The seconds also had a big win over Olinda to open their account for the season on the back of Aaron Gillard’s maiden century last week.
The thirds achieved a rare outright win with a great team performance.
Not too many wins in the juniors this week, but lots of great individual achievements and fun had by all the young Hawks.
No junior matches next weekend due to the Melbourne Cup weekend, but the seniors are hosting Twenty20 matches versus St Johns-Tecoma on Saturday.
The seconds start at 12.30pm followed by the firsts at the main ground.
Come up and support in your Monbulk gear.
This Friday 3 November is the first session for the Milo in2Cricket for 5-8 year-olds. It’s a 5.30pm start and it’s not too late to register.
