Call to collar couch bandits

Thieves made off with an unusual haul from a Ferny Creek burglary.

Yarra Ranges CIU Detective Sergeant Pat Barrow said they broke into the Mount Dandenong Tourist Road house via a glass entry door about 2pm on Wednesday 18 July.

They stole two 19th century couches and a potbelly stove.

Det Sgt Barrow said the size of the items suggested more than one person was involved, and that they likely used a truck or trailer to move their loot.

He appealed for anyone who noticed their activity to call Yarra Ranges CIU on 9739 2401 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
