Top stat getters from Outer East teams in Division One

Ahead of Round 3 with the Easter break this weekend, Premier Data has released some of the top stat getters from the initial rounds in Division One seniors.

In Division One, Belgrave have gotten off to a lowly start with two big losses leaving them bottom, while Gembrook-Cockatoo and Emerald sit first and second after one win and a bye.

Belgrave’s ruckman Brenden Speedy has put in a valiant effort in the ruck with the third most hitouts in the league on 36, while teammates Jayden Wood(13) and Liam Pemberton(9) making the most of their ruckman’s work to be first and equal fourth for clearances in the league. Wood and Pemberton have also tackled hard to be third and fifth for tackles with 17 and 14 respectively, while Wood has the most loose ball gets in the league with 21. Emerald’s Jordan Donabel managed 9 clearances in their one game to be equal-fourth and Gembrook-Cockatoo ruckman Colin Bastow managed 29 hitouts to be fifth.

Brad Raaymakers and Josh O’Brien have been getting it out of Belgrave’s underfire defence, first and fourth with 25 and 11 rebound 50’s, while Raaymakers and teammate Michael Sproule are equal second for spoils with 8.

Gembrook-Cockatoo’s took 5 contested marks for third, and got involved in the forward line with the most inside 50’s (15) and score involvements (16), joined by teammate and ex-North Melbourne star Michael Firrito with 13 score involvements for third.

Emerald and Gembrook-Cockatoo take each other on at Emerald and Belgrave plays Healesville away in Round 2.
