With the 2nds and 3rds cementing their spots in the top four in the seniors, The Monbulk Hawks managed to secure 7 out of 11 wins over the weekend.
The Vets also had a great win on Sunday 4 December, with the U16’s back on the winner’s list and the U14s continuing their winning ways with another terrific team win and a spot on top of the ladder.
Firstly to three players: Ava Dawson a new player to our Super 7’s team who has also been filling in for the U12’s where she made 13 on Friday 2 December.
She has batted 5 times for 46 runs.
Two Graces – Hourigan and Emmett – were also a big part of matches over the weekend.
Grace Hourigan is in her 5th season of junior cricket at Monbulk and last season played in the U14 premiership.
This season in the U16’s, she has taken 1/10 the last two weeks. She also plays senior women’s cricket at South Belgrave. Grace Emmett played in Monbulk’s 5th XI on Sunday 4 December and plays in the Olinda women’s team.
