Emerald meets friendly Lilydale in round 12 of tennis comp

In round 12 of the Eastern Region Tennis Competition, Emerald met Lilydale in a friendly but competitive match.

Unfortunately Emerald couldn’t get the sets over the line, winning just the one 6-3.

Junior Open Doubles (JOD10) Lilydale v Emerald

After round 11 Lilydale was sitting just outside the top four on the ladder.

Emerald was represented by Charlie, Jaxon, Hunter.

Lilydale was represented by Nenuka, Lachie, Haady and Ollie.

It was a home game for Lilydale this week against Emerald. In the end it was Lilydale that won the day 5 sets to 1 – winning 33 games to Emerald 16.

Result: 3-6, 6-1, 6-3, 6-3, 6-0, 6-3

Despite the competition, players enjoyed getting a photo together, recognising the social aspects of the game.
